— Chad Wilson, Ag Service Center
It often feels like the gap between fall harvest and spring planting is nonexistent. The minute this season wraps up, the spring planting to-do list starts to pile up. Most producers start with the tangible things they can handle on their own, purchasing seed and fertilizer, but only a few recognize that the first thing they can check off that list is getting our team involved.
Producers who call the Ag Service Center now get a spot on the schedule right away. Producers who wait until mid-season, when something breaks, to give our team a call are the ones who end up with unwanted downtime.
Fall shouldn’t just be your harvest wrap-up. It should be the time you use to plan for grain handling, equipment, and repairs before spring gets busy.
The Ag Service Center is Central United Cooperative’s full-service equipment, parts, grain handling, and repair facility located in Lafayette. Our team handles routine maintenance, major repairs, tire service, DOT inspections, precision technology equipment and support, and complete grain system projects.
Just because we’re in Lafayette doesn’t mean we can’t help. Our team will travel wherever you need us, to get you back up and running in no time.
HERE’S HOW WE CAN HELP THIS FALL
Grain Handling — Plan Now
The minute the combine shuts off, that’s your cue to start thinking about next year’s grain system, not next August, when everyone else has the same idea and our schedule is already full. If your bins, legs, augers, dryers, or air systems strained to keep up with this year’s volume, now’s the time to get a project on the books. Equipment manufacturers typically start rolling out discounts in November, so planning early can also help you take advantage of potential savings. Bin additions, dryer upgrades, and air system work aren’t same-week jobs. They take real time to design, source, and schedule. The earlier you call, the better your chances of maximizing savings and having everything done and ready before next fall rolls around.
Maintenance & Repairs — Call Now
Most of the time, you already know when a piece of equipment needs to head to the shop. Waiting until you’re already thinking about next season is too late. Plan ahead, and your equipment will be ready when you need it.
Diagnostics, Maintenance, Parts & Full Service — Any Brand, Any Problem
We’re ready to tackle any color, any brand, any problem you bring to our shop. We’re a full-service shop handling everything from routine maintenance to major repairs, plus small engine repair. Our team also has advanced diagnostic capability for trucks and other equipment.
Equipment — Fall Tillage
Our new fall tillage lineup is here and being assembled as we speak, everything from vertical tillage to rippers, so you have access to what you need when you need it. Bobcat skid loaders are always easy for us to source, and right now we’re running some great discounts across our skid loader inventory. If we don’t have what you’re looking for on the lot, just let us know. We’ll find a way to get it to you.
Parts Room — Stocked & Ready
Our parts counter is stocked and ready for you to come in and grab what you need. If we don’t have it in stock, we can usually get it ordered quickly with little delay.
There’s an upcoming parts sale on the way, so watch our social media to see when it goes live.
Tires — Buy Two, Save Now
This fall, take advantage of the Firestone Fall Savings Promotion, running now through September 30, 2026. Buy two or more eligible Firestone or Bridgestone tires and save right at the counter. That’s $100 off eligible non-AD² radial Firestone tires, or $200 off eligible AD² IF and VF radial Firestone tires and Bridgestone radials. No coupon needed. Just let our team know at checkout and we’ll apply the discount for you. Stop in, call, or ask your technician which tires on your equipment qualify before the month is out.
And it’s not just Firestone and Bridgestone. Our certified technicians handle installation and balancing across the full lineup we carry: Firestone, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Titan, Michelin, BKT, Mitas, Alliance, and Carlisle.
We know planning is the last thing you want to do right after harvest, when you’re worn out, but doing it now will save you down the road. If you have any questions or are ready for our help, give the Ag Service Center a call at (507) 228-8224 and we’ll get you on the schedule.
