CENTRAL UNITED COOP SCHOLARSHIPS

Central United Cooperative has established this scholarship program to assist children of its voting patrons and children of employees who plan to continue their education in college. The deadline to apply is March 4, 2026 at 3:00PM CT.
Eligibility
Applicants of the Central United Cooperative Scholarship Program award must be:
- Dependent* children of either Central United Cooperative voting patrons** of Central United Cooperative or full-time employees of Central United CooperativeÂ
- *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the patron’s or employee’s household or primarily supported by the patron or employee.Â
- **Voting patrons are defined as active farmer producers who use products and services in excess of $10,000 per year.Â
- Students who are seniors in high school
- Planning to enroll for the first time in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S.
Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award. Â
- Up to ten (10) awards will be granted to qualified candidates and distributed as follows:
- Up to six (6) awards of $1,000 may be granted to children of Central United Cooperative voting patrons.Â
- Up to three (3) awards will be granted to dependent children of Central United Cooperative employees.
- One (1) award of $1,000 will be designated as the Arnie Berdan Memorial Scholarship award for a student majoring in agriculture. Preference will be given to the child of a full-time employee, assuming there is a qualified applicant.
- Awards are not renewable.
- Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
