Choosing where to build your career is one of the most important decisions you will make. Central United has careers with an opportunity to serve local farmers, strengthen rural communities, and be part of an organization built on collaboration and shared success.
As a farmer owned coop, we exist to serve our member owners, the farmers and producers who rely on us for products, services, and expertise. Our success is directly connected to theirs. Every role within our organization contributes to helping local agriculture thrive.
Being part of a coop means working for a business that values long term relationships, local decision making, and reinvesting in the communities we serve.
Employees at Central United Coop learn alongside experienced professionals who understand both the industry and the communities we serve. Mentorship, hands-on experience, and ongoing training help build the skills and competencies that lead to long term career growth.
Whether you are just entering the workforce, continuing your education, or bringing years of experience in a trade, there is opportunity here.
Transferable Skills Welcome
Many people do not immediately think of agriculture when considering career options, but agriculture relies on a wide range of skills that transfer well from other industries.
Mechanics service and repair customer equipment at our Ag Service Center and maintain our fleet of vehicles and application equipment. Accounting and administrative professionals support financial operations across multiple areas of the coop. Production employees manufacture bulk feed and blend fertilizer to meet customer needs. Equipment operators apply crop nutrients and agronomic products to farm fields. Truck drivers transport propane, refined fuels, feed, fertilizer, and grain throughout our service area.
Agriculture today depends on technology, logistics, customer service, and skilled trades. If you have experience in any of these areas, there may be a place for you at Central United Coop.
Training and Education Opportunities
Central United Coop is committed to helping employees advance their skills. We offer training and education programs that support professional development, including commercial applicator licensing, technology training for operating advanced application equipment, specialized sales training programs, and ongoing safety and compliance education.
By investing in employee development, the coop continues to deliver high quality service to our members while helping individuals build meaningful, long term careers.
Opportunities for Students
For students considering their next steps, Central United Coop offers multiple pathways to get started.
Our scholarship program supports high school seniors planning to continue their education. We also provide high school on the job experiences and college internships that offer real world exposure to agriculture and coop business operations.
